harmonious. We, at Island Horti-Tech, are dedicated to advancing
horticulture and promoting good gardening. We are the first Hydroculture
Company in Singapore to be the member of the "Foliage for Clean Air
Council.” Using modern hydroculture technique, we decorate your homes
with the rich, warm beauty of indoor plants. We endeavor to save the
environment and work for a better world.
We
offer a complete range of plant and design concepts harmonious with our area
and ecology. With well-known and respected horticulturists in Singapore and
Malaysia, we offer outdoor and indoor plants.
Our research focuses mainly on our collections of plants, both living and
preserved, and scientific literature. Full use is made of the extensive
human knowledge base and expertise in taxonomy and horticulture in the
institute as a whole. Research, documentation and conservation are all based
on the collections in the Gardens, curated and conserved through our
horticulture.
We nurture a plant from time to time. It grows from a seedling or cutting
to the time when it is planted at our client's site. Our staff ensures safe
delivery of plants. We adhere to a rigorous maintenance schedule at our
client's locations on a regular basis. As a part of our maintenance program,
plants are cleaned, watered, trimmed, fed and replaced, if necessary.
Horticultural Activity at Island Horti-Tech
Horticulture at Island Horti- Tech is a multi-purpose activity, supporting
the institution's research programme and balancing this with a high-quality
visitor amenity. Our unrivalled living collections represent a resource for
botanical science worldwide, whether for pure scientific purposes or those
with economic potential. Most important of all, the living collections and
the horticultural skill that cares for them are a resource for ex situ
conservation of plant diversity and its integration with habitat restoration
and species reintroduction.

1. "A meeting point for gardening enthusiasts and plant lovers, our
clients have the luxury of walking through our plant displays at our Garden
Centre. They can select plants at their own pace. Our experienced staff with
assist and guide them through the various displays and advice on plant care.

"We use a unique planting system called Hydroculture. It involves a
system of growing plants in lightweight, expanded clay aggregate in place of
soil. It is clean, odorless and free of parasites. The system consists of an
inner pot filled with the clay aggregate for growing and outer pot for
holding water with a water level indicator to monitor the level of liquid
nutrients.
3. "We are working towards providing innovative and unique landscape
designs that appeal to all kinds of aesthetic tastes. Our creative
landscaping staff with a lateral thought process offers personalized
services to meet our clients' requirements.
4. "Our nurseries in Singapore and Malaysia supply indoor and outdoor
plants to develop hydroculture conversion processes conduct trials of new
plants developed by tissue culture and cultivate plants required for
